This is the story of a Bodhisattva.
(Pronounced, "Boody-sot-va")
Three men were walking in the desert.
They were thirsty, hungry and weak when they came upon a huge wall. They circled the wall, but could find no way in.
The first man climbed onto the back of one of the other two men and started the long climb up the wall.
When he reached the top, he look over and exclaimed, "Eureka!" He jumped over the wall and was gone.
The second man climbed onto the back of the third man and started the long climb up the wall. When he reached the top, he look over and exclaimed, "Eureka!" He too jumped over the wall and was gone.
The third man did not have the privilege of climbing on another's back and so he began his long climb up the wall.
When he reached the top, he looked over and saw the most beautiful and plentiful valley, with cool, clear waterfalls, ample fruit trees and lush foliage.
He, however, did not leap over the wall into this paradise. Instead, he made the long climb back down the wall and headed back out into the hot desert.
He went to search for other wanderers so that he may tell them about this paradise, and how to get there.
And he, is the Bodhisattva.
When you get a glimpse of Enlightenment, will you point the way for others?
Perhaps you too are a Bodhisattva.
In honor of all you light workers out there, we created our Bodhisattva design, sold exclusively at New World Living.
